Joe Biden is 'looking good' after South Carolina victory but 'Sanders will fight'

Joe Biden is 'looking good' after South Carolina victory but 'Sanders will fight' RMIT Professor of International Diplomacy Joe Siracusa says Joe Biden “was on the ropes” but fought his way back into the Democratic race after a landslide victory in the South Carolina primary.

Mr Biden is looking to the momentum from his first caucus win to carry him through to Super Tuesday when 14 states will cast their votes for the Democratic nominee in the presidential election.

Mr Siracusa told Sky News Mr Biden was "going to have enough time” to consolidate his campaign ahead of Super Tuesday but warned “Bernie Sanders is going to fight”.

He said experts on Democratic proceedings “see a two-person race between now and the nominating convention in Milwaukee in July”.

"The wildcard here is Michael Bloomberg who entered the race a month ago because Vice President Biden wasn’t looking so good," he said.

"Now if Biden is looking good, what happens to Michael Bloomberg?”
