Writeup:
I am honoured to be associated with an Artisan like Talbot Shaving and when I was given the opportunity to test his potentially new bases, I was really looking forward to getting into the testing.
This is the second batch I've personally tried but as far as I'm aware there have been more than 2.
During the testing process, I try to keep as many things as consistent as possible. There are some variables that need to be changed and in my opinion, they are the brush fibre of choice and water hardness. It's important to see what the different brush fibres do to the soap and see how the performance changes with soft or harder water.
The intent behind the reformulation for Chad was better slickness, a denser lather, the maintenance of ease of lather and a much-improved post-shave. I can confidently say that all of these things have been achieved. I'm personally looking forward to seeing where he goes from here, this is as good as the best stuff out now and competes with everything on the market.
The post-shave was outstanding. It left my skin feeling perfectly hydrated, almost like I applied a balm straight after my shave.
I hope you enjoyed this video!
